A Day in the LifeWe are seeking an experienced, hands on Senior Developer to join the Global Commercial Office’s (GCO) Customer Experience Technology team.
GCO leads Medtronic’s commercial strategy, and our Customer Experience Technology team delivers automated workflows, data driven insights, and self service capabilities that improve customer experience and commercial outcomes.
As Senior Developer – Marketing Testing, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of global marketing automation and analytics by testing platforms, campaigns, data pipelines, integrations, and reporting.
You will partner with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to test solutions across Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data 360, Marketing Cloud Intelligence, and Snowflake throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for marketing automation, data integrations, and analytics solutions.
- Validate data ingestion, transformation, and modeling across platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, Salesforce Data 360, Marketing Cloud Intelligence, and Snowflake.
- Perform end-to-end testing of marketing workflows, including campaign data flows, audience segmentation, lead routing, activation, downstream reporting, and dashboards.
- Conduct data quality, reconciliation, and validation testing using SQL and BI tools to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of marketing and customer data.
- Test APIs, batch processes, and real-time data pipelines, identifying integration issues and data defects across systems.
- Partner closely with developers, data engineers, and marketing stakeholders to review requirements, clarify expected outcomes, and identify test scenarios and edge cases.
- Log, track, and manage defects through resolution, validating fixes and supporting regression testing across releases.
- Support production deployments, post-release validation, and ongoing monitoring to ensure stable and reliable marketing automation and analytics operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test automation opportunities, and testing standards across marketing technology and data platforms.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Required: Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7-13 years of software industry experience.
- Experience testing Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data 360, and/or Marketing Cloud Intelligence implementations.
- Strong SQL skills with experience validating data in cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.
Nice-to-haves - Familiarity with marketing data concepts such as customer profiles, identity resolution, segmentation, campaign execution, data activation, and attribution.
- Experience testing BI dashboards and analytics outputs for accuracy and performance.
- Exposure to test automation frameworks or data testing tools in cloud-based environments.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with global stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners.
- Experience working within a regulated environment is preferred.
