In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

Responsible for guiding business stakeholders through the design and functional implementation of SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS, edition for SAP HANA) to enable compliant, efficient, and automated cross‑border trade operations.

Required technical and professional expertise

The role translates trade compliance and customs requirements into scalable process designs covering sanctioned‑party screening, embargo/legal control, license determination and usage, product classification (HS/HTS/Export Control), preference determination, and import/export customs management. Core accountabilities include leading Fit‑to‑Standard workshops, defining end‑to‑end process flows across order‑to‑cash and procure‑to‑pay, configuring GTS objects (legal regulations, control classes, business partners, document types, SPL screening, license procedures, determination strategies), and ensuring robust integration with S/4HANA SD/MM, EWM/TM, and external customs brokers/content providers.

Preferred technical and professional experience

The consultant drives test strategy (unit/SIT/UAT), data migration (business partner/ship‑to data, classifications, licenses, preferences), and user enablement while embedding controls for auditability (recordkeeping, electronic archives, dual‑use controls) and measurable risk reduction.
