SAP's Business Technology Platform is shaping the future of enterprise software, creating the ability to extend and personalize SAP applications, integrate and connect entire landscapes, and empower business users to integrate processes and experiences. The BTP Developer Success team works on creating reference applications that demonstrate the functionality and integration possibilities. Applications bigger than hello world but not as complex as productive applications and based on real business scenarios. We use these applications to educate external and internal developers on how to consume SAP technologies; drive adoption of SAP technologies. Also used for education, demos, TechEd sessions, Open SAP courses, and for customer rollouts.

What will you contribute

• You will be working on Deploy with Confidence (DwC), a cloud-native engineering framework combining feature-driven development, zero-downtime deployments, and advanced tooling to enable daily feature delivery at scale.

  
  

• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Crossplane, Helm, and Kubernetes for multi-cloud environments, ensuring high availability and compliance with enterprise standards.

  
  

• Performance tuning, scalability testing 

  
  

• Run enablement workshops for DwC for internal stakeholders

  
  

• Collaborate cross-functionally as a proactive team player, tackling diverse tasks from infrastructure provisioning to production optimization to drive team success and technology adoption.

  
  

What you bring

• BE / B.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  
  

• 3-7 years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering, with proven expertise in cloud-native infrastructure.

  
  
• Strong hands-on experience in DevOps engineering with a focus on cloud-native infrastructure.
  
• Proficient in Go (Golang) and Bash for scripting, automation, and tool development.
  
• Core Technical Expertise:
  
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes (K8s), including:
    
    • Designing and managing Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs)
      
    • Troubleshooting Kubernetes objects and cluster-level issues
      
  • Hands-on experience with
    
    • Terraform for writing and maintaining production-grade infrastructure as code
      
    • Helm for developing and managing Helm charts
      
    • Crossplane (preferred)
      
  • Solid Golang development experience, including:
    
    • Working with Kubernetes-related frameworks such as Kubebuilder, controller-runtime, and Operator SDK
      
    • Familiarity with Go web frameworks (e.g., Gin, Echo, or similar)
      
    • Writing performant, maintainable, and production-grade code with solid debugging practices
      
• Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent, with exposure to zero-downtime deployments and observability tools.
  

• Practical experience with any of the cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, SAP BTP).
