Position Location : This role is remote, ideally based near Denver, Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit, Raleigh, or Chicago. The Agentic AI Engineer is a technical specialist within Siemens’ AI Factory ecosystem, focused on the application of AI agents in conjunction with real-time industrial systems. This role enables intelligent control optimization, error detection, and adaptive response while ensuring secure, reliable deployment of AI agents in critical industrial environments. You’ll make an impact by Applying AI agents alongside real-time systems to enable control optimization, anomaly and error detection, and enhanced system responsiveness. Developing and refining security, governance, and access-management strategies for AI agents operating in critical industrial processes. Collaborating effectively in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary teams spanning automation, controls, software, and applied engineering domains. Demonstrating an orientation toward early technology adoption, including hands-on use, experimentation, enablement, and peer training on emerging AI-agent capabilities. Learning and applying underlying principles of applied science, engineering, and/or physics and mapping them to computer science, programming, and automation implementations. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Engineering, Automation, or related technical field. 1+ years Experience in design and implementation of generative AI- or LLM - based solutions. Experience in develop ing reinforcement learning models for controls optimization from telemetry data . Ability to work across disciplines in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Ability to travel domestically up to 50%, for up to a week at a time. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Physics, or related discipline ( Master’s or PhD) . Experience in design and deploy generative AI- or LLM- based in industrial, automation, or safety-critical environments. Experience in integrating AI agents/ RL control schemes into existing tools. Actual offer may be lower or higher depending on selected professional.
