A leading Tier 1 Interior Fit-Out Contractor in Dubai is seeking an experienced Technical Design Manager to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on prestigious high-end fit-out and refurbishment projects across hospitality, commercial, retail, aviation, and luxury residential sectors throughout the UAE.
The Role The Technical Design Manager will lead and coordinate the design and technical development process across multiple fit-out projects from concept through to construction and final delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure all technical design packages are fully coordinated, compliant, and delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design management process for high-end fit-out projects.
• Coordinate architectural, MEP, joinery, and specialist subcontractor design packages.
• Review and manage shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.
• Ensure design compliance with local authority regulations, project specifications, and client requirements.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and project delivery teams to resolve technical and design issues.
• Manage design programmes and ensure timely issuance of coordinated drawings.
• Oversee BIM coordination and clash detection processes where applicable.
• Support procurement and construction teams with technical solutions and value engineering.
• Monitor design quality and ensure alignment with project execution requirements.
• Lead and mentor internal design coordinators and technical teams.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8–12 years’ experience within the construction or interior fit-out industry.
• Strong experience delivering high-end interior fit-out projects within the GCC.
• Previous experience working with Tier 1 fit-out contractors preferred.
• Excellent technical knowledge of interior fit-out detailing, joinery, finishes, and MEP coordination.
• Strong understanding of UAE authority approvals and building regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, and technical coordination processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• UAE experience is highly desirable.
