SRE Engineer – Wealth Management (m/f/d)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our leading bank in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical financial platforms by blending strong software engineering skills with deep systems expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure to support wealth management platforms.
• Develop and maintain software solutions using Java, .NET Core, and associated frameworks.
• Manage and optimize relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and support NoSQL solutions such as MongoDB.
• Architect and integrate APIs and microservices to support business-critical applications.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply cybersecurity principles and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and security architecture standards.
• Monitor systems and respond to incidents to maintain platform uptime and performance SLAs.
• Create and maintain system architecture diagrams using tools such as Visio and Draw.io.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using JIRA and Confluence.
• Evaluate and assess emerging fintech technologies including blockchain, AI/ML, and digital wallets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in site reliability, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Java and/or .NET Core development.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in fintech or regulated banking environments.
• Knowledge of wealth management or trading platform infrastructure.
• Exposure to blockchain, AI/ML, or digital wallet technologies.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) are an advantage.
