Role Overview

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Sr. Apparel Designer with strong expertise in fabric selection, garment construction, and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Dubai retail market, customer preferences, and global fashion trends, combined with hands-on experience in product development from concept to final production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop seasonal apparel collections aligned with brand identity and market trends
  
• Conduct in-depth research on global fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and silhouettes
  
• Work closely with merchandisers and buyers to align designs with commercial objectives
  
• Develop detailed tech packs, sketches, and specifications for sampling and production
  
• Source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials based on design and cost targets
  
• Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors to ensure design feasibility and quality standards
  
• Oversee sampling process, fittings, and approvals to ensure product accuracy and consistency
  
• Monitor production timelines and resolve any design or technical issues during manufacturing
  
• Ensure products meet quality, fit, and regulatory standards specific to the UAE market
  
• Stay updated with competitor offerings and customer preferences in the Dubai retail landscape
  

Key Requirements

• 8–10 years of relevant experience in apparel design within the retail/fashion industry
  
• Mandatory experience working in the Dubai / UAE retail market
  
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, pattern making, and manufacturing processes
  
• Hands-on experience in working with factories and production units (local & international)
  
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software
  
• Strong understanding of costing, product lifecycle, and retail calendars
  
• Excellent eye for detail, color, and aesthetics
  
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
  
• Experience working with fast fashion or high-volume retail brands
  
• Knowledge of sustainable fabrics and ethical manufacturing practices is a plus
