Senior Mechanical Enginer

Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in MEP contracts and a background in contracting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with MEP contracts, and delivering high-quality results.
Job Responsibility:
1. Manage and lead mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion.
2. Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems in buildings.
3. Ensure compliance with MEP contracts and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
5. Provide technical expertise and guidance on mechanical engineering principles and best practices.
6. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
7. Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during the project implementation phase.
8. Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations related to mechanical engineering projects.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience working in MEP contracting with a focus on mechanical systems.
3. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, HVAC systems, and building codes.
4. Excellent project management and leadership skills.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
6. Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
7. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
8. Proven track record of successfully delivering mechanical engineering projects on time and within budget.

1.Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and concepts
2. Extensive experience in managing projects within a contractor or MEP contractor setting
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software
4. In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems
5. Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with various stakeholders
6. Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling
7. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in the construction industry
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound engineering judgments
9. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for project documentation and client interaction
10. Leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior team members
