As a Project Manager at J WALT, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of interior fit-out projects from conception to completion. Your role will involve working closely with project engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1. Responsibilities
▪ Good command of reading engineering drawings.
▪ Schedule, coordinate, and supervise the daily activities of gangs/site operatives.
▪ Share and pass on knowledge to teams.
▪ Ensure documentation is properly completed in line with Customer/Company requirements.
▪ Ensure all work is carried out in line with approved method statements.
▪ Organize and monitor the work of subcontractors on site.
▪ Control the technician and helpers as per site execution requirements.
▪ Finding sub-contractors for MEP & Civil work.
▪ Must have knowledge & understanding of estimations, and BOQ preparations.
▪ Get the project completion certificate signed by the client.
▪ Customer relationship management (Technical Side).
▪ End-to-end operations activities (Site visit to work completion).
▪ Operation coordination (Plan & assign team members for site visit & site supervising).
4.2. Project/Work Coordination
▪ Identification of the right workforce to execute the project (Internal Team/External Suppliers).
▪ Communicate & get confirmation of project scope & price from the Supplier (Get a formal quote).
▪ Communicate & get confirmation of the workforce availability & schedule.
▪ Coordinate the work with the Client & Work Force (Internal Team/External Supplier).
▪ Complete all the document works required (E.g. Risk Assessment Form & Method Statement).
▪ Arrange all the necessary prerequisites for the project (Permissions, Approvals).
▪ Make sure all the communications and agreements with Supplier & Client are formal.
4.3. Site Supervising
▪ The main priority is safety & responsibility to motivate the workers to do the work in a disciplined way.
▪ Provide daily safety instructions to the workers.
▪ Assessing various safety hazards & reporting them to the concerned person/team.
▪ Responsible for arranging the necessary permissions to perform the job at the site.
▪ Make sure HSE/legal/client rules & regulations are followed.
▪ Make sure the adequate quality is maintained in every stage of the work.
▪ Make sure the site is clean and safe (Maintain proper housekeeping).
▪ Manage the work progress without scope creep & report the progress regularly.
▪ Manage the project & work site as per the standards until sign-off from the Client.
5. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
5.1. Essential qualifications
Bachelors in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
▪ 10 - 12 years of experience in Interior Fit-out Industry in Site Supervising & Project Management in UAE
5.2. Key competencies
▪ Solid knowledge of Civil Works, MEP, HVAC & Project Coordination.
▪ Hands-on experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
▪ Experience in using computers, the internet, and search engines like Google.
▪ Good understanding of the Business Activities
