Project Manager - Construction

We are partnering with a growing construction company in Dubai that is expanding its project portfolio and looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of upcoming developments. This role is suited to someone who can take full ownership of construction projects from planning through to handover, while managing timelines, budgets, site execution, subcontractors, consultants, and client expectations. It is a critical position for a candidate who understands the UAE construction market and can keep projects moving with control, accountability, and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of construction projects from mobilization to completion and handover.
  
• Manage project timelines, resources, site activities, and progress against approved schedules.
  
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  
• Monitor project budgets, costs, procurement schedules, and variation requests.
  
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved drawings, quality standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations.
  
• Identify project risks, delays, and operational challenges, and implement corrective actions where needed.
  
• Conduct regular project meetings and provide clear progress updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  
• Oversee authority coordination, inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover activities.
  
• Maintain proper project documentation, reporting, and compliance records throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Support the commercial team in claims, change orders, and cost-related project matters.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  
• 7–12 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 3–5 years in a Project Manager role.
  
• Proven main contractor experience delivering building construction projects in the UAE or GCC market is essential.
  
• Strong background in managing projects from site mobilization through to completion and handover.
  
• Strong knowledge of project planning, construction execution, subcontractor management, cost control, and stakeholder coordination.
  
• Good understanding of contracts, variations, claims, and commercial project management.
  
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project reporting tools.
  
• Familiarity with UAE authority requirements, site safety standards, and project compliance processes.
  
• PMP certification is preferred; Primavera, NEBOSH, or IOSH certifications would be an advantage.
  
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
