Operation and Maintenance Manager (JO022526) 

We are looking for an Operation and Maintenance Manager for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Manila, Philippines

Start date: ASAP

Type of contact: Direct Hire

Duration: Permanent contract

Working schedule: 5 days per week (3 days at the office / 2 days WFH)

Qualification and Experience required:

• Local candidates preferred
• Having experience with power grid and solar
• Degree in engineering (Electrical engineering preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in O&M activities (Corrective and Preventive Maintenance)
• Experience in solar O&M is a strong asset. Experience in Solar PV Testing and Commissioning would be appreciated.
• Strong analytical skills and Creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle complex situations and work under pressure
• Rigorous, organized, proven autonomy, ability to prioritize tasks and initiatives
• Ability to travel as assigned.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills in English and the local language.

Activities:

The O&M is responsible for:

Client management

• Ensure efficient client communication for all O&M activities, in coordination with the Commercial Asset Manager when required.
• Work closely with client facility engineers to troubleshoot and rapidly resolve faults or shutdowns.

O&M contractor management

• Ensure full compliance of O&M contractors with applicable legislation and company HSE standards, values, procedures, and guidelines.
• Manage O&M tenders within approved budgets and timelines, including internal approval processes (e.g. contract committee).
• Ensure validity and quality of O&M bonds in line with company requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance, manage liquidated damages, and ensure KPIs are met.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess safety and quality.
• Do not exceed the O&M opex budget for his area of responsibility.

Assets management

• Monitor PV asset performance and ensure that the budgeted annual generation is reached.
• Ensure timely execution of all O&M activities (preventive maintenance, module cleaning) in line with REN/DG and company standards.
• Collaborate with PM, EPC, and Engineering Centre teams to resolve operational issues, including during the defect’s liability period.
• Secure Design Centre approvals for corrective maintenance prior to execution.
• Guarantee valid insurance coverage for all operated sites.
• Ensure complete and timely handover of project documentation, PR tests, and as-built systems
• Ensure all permits renewals from the concerned authorities are issued on time, in full compliance with regulation
