Fullstack Developer - Wealth Management (m/f/d)

Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Fullstack Developer to join a leading bank in Abu Dhabi. This role will initially work alongside external consultants to build and integrate a React web application, React Native micro-app, and Java-based backend microservices hosted on AWS. Following a structured handover period, the successful candidate will take full ownership of the codebase, deployments, and production operations. This is an 8-month contract with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with external development consultants to build a React.js web trading interface, React Native micro-app integrated into existing mobile banking channels, and Java-based backend microservices using Spring Boot/Spring Cloud on AWS.
• Implement integrations with third-party trading APIs covering order placement, market data, funding, and account services.
• Set up and optimize CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions for multi-environment deployments.
• Ensure security compliance including OAuth, API key management, and secure storage via AWS Secrets Manager/KMS.
• Absorb and document the full codebase, architecture, deployment processes, and operational runbooks during the handover phase.
• Take complete ownership of platform maintenance, production support, and new feature development post-handover.
• Monitor systems using AWS CloudWatch and respond to production incidents with minimal downtime.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and Agile sprint ceremonies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of fullstack development experience, with at least 2–3 years in React, Java, and AWS deployments.
• Proficiency in React.js (Hooks, Context API, Redux/Zustand) and React Native.
• Strong backend development experience in Java 11+ with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• REST API and WebSocket development experience.
• Familiarity with event-driven processing (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS).
• Database experience across PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL solutions.
• AWS experience including EKS/ECS, RDS, S3, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.
• Strong documentation skills covering code, architecture, and operational runbooks.
• Agile/Scrum experience and excellent stakeholder communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in micro-frontend architecture for web and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with OWASP and PCI-DSS secure coding practices.
• Exposure to OAuth/OpenID Connect integration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Prior fintech or trading platform experience is highly preferred.
