Description
Responsibilities:
Oversee all day-to-day activities of the external reporting team for the GroupManage relationships with external auditors and accounting service providersProvide mentorship and technical accounting guidance to the wider finance teamCoordinate the preparation of over 400 audited/unaudited financial statements for statutory and financier complianceCollaborate with the tax department to support compliance and reporting processesMaintain and enhance internal controls to ensure integrity in reportingAssist in interpreting and implementing new/revised IFRS standards applicable to the GroupContribute to the continuous improvement of reporting systems (e.g. Oracle, CaseWare)Conduct quarterly legal entity reviews across the GroupLead or contribute to various finance projects as needed
Key Performance Indicators:
Timely and accurate delivery of IFRS-compliant financial statementsMeeting all financier and statutory reporting deadlinesStrong technical accounting and IFRS implementationEffective coordination with auditors and tax teamsUp-to-date internal documentation of accounting policiesStrong leadership and performance management of the External Reporting Team
Profile
Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CPA) with at least 8 years' post-graduate experienceMinimum of 5 years in a Big 4 audit firm, with strong exposure to IFRS and external auditPrevious experience in managing a team and handling multiple prioritiesKnowledge of CaseWare and Oracle Financials is advantageousFamiliarity with local UAE regulatory reporting requirementsHigh level of proficiency with accounting systems and Excel
