We are currently supporting a confidential executive search for a senior leadership position within a large, asset-intensive organization in the UAE.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, engineering, and delivery of complex, large-scale infrastructure and capital projects across a multi-project environment.
Role Overview
The Executive Director – Infrastructure Projects will lead the end-to-end execution of major projects, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives, operational efficiency, and delivery excellence.
The role involves managing multiple project streams, overseeing senior teams, and driving performance across engineering, project management, and delivery functions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the execution of large-scale infrastructure and capital projects across multiple programs
Oversee engineering coordination, project governance, and delivery frameworks
Manage project portfolios, including prioritization, resource allocation, and performance tracking
Establish and implement best practices in project delivery, risk management, and quality assurance
Engage with key stakeholders including consultants, contractors, and regulatory entities to ensure smooth execution
Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency across project functions
Provide leadership and direction to senior project teams and functional heads
RequirementsWe are looking for senior professionals with:
Extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure, energy, or complex engineering environments
Proven track record in managing high-value, multi-project portfolios
Strong leadership experience overseeing senior teams and cross-functional stakeholders
Background in engineering-led organizations with asset-heavy operations
Solid understanding of project governance, contracts (e.g., EPC/FIDIC), and delivery frameworks
Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
Important Considerations
Arabic speakers are preferred; Emirati national are highly preferred for this opportunity.
Candidates currently based in the UAE are highly preferred, followed by those in the GCC
Candidates from outside the region will be considered only if they are currently in a similar role within the same industry and function
