Estimator -Fitout

Job Summary:

The Estimator is responsible for evaluating project specifications and drawings, ensuring accurate cost estimation for interior fit-out projects. The role involves analyzing labor, material, and time requirements to provide detailed and competitive estimates. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure the financial feasibility of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Analysis:
   

   
   
   • Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work.
     
   • Identify and assess potential risks, opportunities, and cost implications.
     

2. Cost Estimation:
   

   
   
   • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
     
   • Utilize estimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
     
   • Develop pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
     

3. Bid Preparation:
   

   
   
   • Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals and tender documents.
     
   • Ensure all bids comply with company standards and client requirements.
     
   • Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate cost data.
     

4. Client Interaction:
   

   
   
   • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary project information.
     
   • Collaborate with clients to clarify project requirements and expectations.
     
   • Provide ongoing support and communication to clients throughout the estimation process.
     

5. Collaboration:
   

   
   
   • Work closely with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure alignment on project objectives and budgets.
     
   • Assist in the negotiation of contracts and pricing agreements with clients and subcontractors.
     

6. Documentation and Reporting:
   

   
   
   • Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and supporting documentation.
     
   • Prepare and present detailed cost reports and analysis to management.
     
   • Continuously update and improve estimation processes and templates.
     

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field preferred.
  
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in estimating within the construction or interior fit-out industry.
  
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  
• Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and regulations.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
