About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and creative Design Manager to lead and manage the design process for high-end real estate development projects. The role involves overseeing architectural and multidisciplinary design activities, ensuring alignment with project vision, quality standards, and regulatory requirements while delivering innovative and functional design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & StrategyLead the overall design process from concept to detailed design stages.Ensure design vision aligns with project objectives, brand standards, and market positioning.Drive innovation, creativity, and functionality in all design outputs.Establish design guidelines, standards, and best practices.Consultant & Stakeholder ManagementManage and coordinate with architects, consultants, and design teams.Review and approve design submissions, drawings, and specifications.Ensure timely delivery of design milestones and project requirements.Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, and authorities.Project Coordination & ExecutionEnsure design integration across all disciplines including architectural, structural, and MEP.Coordinate with project management and construction teams for smooth execution.Resolve design-related issues during project lifecycle.Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure all designs comply with local regulations, codes, and standards.Maintain high-quality design output and attention to detail.Review and monitor design consistency and adherence to specifications.Ensure compliance with sustainability and environmental standards where applicable.Budget & Cost ControlMonitor design budgets and control costs throughout project phases.Support cost planning and ensure design solutions align with budget constraints.Participate in value engineering to optimize project costs.Evaluate design changes and their financial impact.Reporting & DocumentationPrepare design reports, presentations, and updates for management.Maintain proper documentation of design approvals and revisions.Track design progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.Support submission processes for authority approvals.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field.8–12 years of experience in design management within real estate development or consultancy.Proven experience in managing high-end residential or commercial projects.UAE experience and knowledge of local authority requirements is highly preferred.
