The American University in the Emirates (AUE) invites applications from Ph.D. holders for full-time faculty positions (Associate Professor in Artificial Intelligence) for the Academic Year 2026–2027.

Minimum Qualifications

·PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

·Minimum 5–7 years of academic experience post-PhD.

·Demonstrated academic progression consistent with Associate Professor rank.

Core Expertise (Mandatory)

·Machine Learning and Deep Learning

·Statistical Modeling and Data Analysis

·AI-driven Decision Support Systems

·Programming proficiency (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch)

Preferred Specializations

·Advanced Machine Learning and Optimization

·Computer Vision

·Natural Language Processing (NLP)

·Intelligent Agents and Reinforcement Learning

·Big Data Analytics and Distributed Systems

·AI for Engineering and Industrial Applications

Teaching Requirements

·Experience teaching graduate-level courses such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Analytics, and AI Systems.

·Ability to supervise Master’s theses and research projects.

·Familiarity with Outcome-Based Education (OBE).

Research Profile

·Strong publication record in high-impact journals and conferences (Scopus / WoS indexed).

·Ability to lead or contribute to funded research projects.

·Research aligned with emerging AI domains and applications.

Professional / Industry Experience (Preferred)

·Experience in applied AI projects.

·Collaboration with industry or government.

·Experience deploying AI solutions in real-world environments.

Skills and Competencies

·Leadership in curriculum development.

·Ability to support the MSAIDS program.

·Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

·Effective communication and mentoring.

General Requirements

·Commitment to teaching excellence.

·Ability to contribute to accreditation and QA processes.

·Experience in multicultural environments.

·Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
