Architect Engineer

Job Description:

• Prepare and study architectural designs and plans within the concerned organizational unit for in-house designed projects, ensuring alignment with modern urban conditions and environmental, social, and economic factors.
• Review architectural drawings and building data, and verify that designs, plans, and technical specifications for assigned projects comply with the approved building regulations in the Emirate of Dubai, while considering modern urban, environmental, social, and economic conditions.
• Conduct site visits to inspect project locations assigned for design, take necessary measurements, and assess land characteristics, orientations, and surrounding conditions to complete design processes whenever required.
• Prepare tender documents for in-house designed projects and review tender submissions provided by project consultants. Contribute to the tendering process, contracting, award, contract signing, and handover of all contract documents, designs, plans, and drawings related to architectural projects to the relevant department.
• Evaluate variation orders for assigned architectural design projects and implement necessary modifications in line with work requirements. Additionally, review consultants’ design fee payments and assess variation orders in coordination with relevant departments.
• Coordinate with organizational units to assess their project needs and requirements. Also liaise with developers, investors, and the project team to understand project requirements, discuss initial concepts and technical aspects, estimate project costs, and review material submittals from consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
