About the role: The Accountant at metabolic conducts and supports the business with accounting and finance activities in line with established company policy.
The accountant also provides analysis and recommendations for improved accounting and finance practices.
Key Responsibilities: Compliance – Legal, Taxation, Regulatory Reporting Fully comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including maintenance of necessary accounting records as per local requirements Be the conduit on payments and invoices between Metabolic and suppliers Control and Risk Assessment Ensure the company’s principal accounting policies are followed Ensure proper authorisation of contracts and expenditures is obtained through Zoho Ensure all the records are properly recorded Management and Financial Reporting Assist in the timely and accurate recordings of revenue, expenses, and balance sheet items in the general ledger Be responsible for first-level bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations Update the bank balance GL and reconcile regularly Compile reports to management Budgeting & Cost Control Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts and support ad hoc financial analysis as required Administration and Supplier Management Record accurate local inventory and asset registers with the Head of Operations Review Manage local supplier contracts, including office rental, telephone, and insurance Ensure vendor details and delegation of authority list is up-to-date in the system at all times Business Support and Process Improvement Provide Finance-related support to other departments as required and participate in working groups for discussions and resolutions as required Demonstrate leadership and lead by example in accordance with Metabolic's core values Actively engage with employees to enhance communication and their understanding of finance reporting responsibilities Understand, follow and support all hospital infection control programs Bachelor’s degree (required) Strong operational background Healthcare experience preferred Master’s degree in related field (preferred) Minimum 3 year’s experience (required) Excellent customer service skills required Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in English (required) Bilingual in Arabic and English (preferred) Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner
