We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Design & Technology / IT Teacher to join a leading school in Sharjah. This is a unique combined role, ideal for an educator who enjoys delivering both digital and hands-on learning experiences.
You'll play a key role in developing students' technical, creative, and problem-solving skills across a broad and engaging curriculum.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging lessons across IT, Design, Graphics, Woodwork, and Metalwork
- Inspire students through practical, project-based and technology-driven learning
- Create a safe, well-managed workshop and classroom environment
- Support students in developing creativity, technical skills, and independent thinking
- Differentiate teaching to meet a range of abilities and learning styles
- Assess progress and provide meaningful feedback to support development
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning
- Contribute to school initiatives and ongoing professional development
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for an enthusiastic educator who:
- Has experience teaching a combination of IT and Design & Technology subjects
- Enjoys both practical workshop teaching and digital/creative instruction
- Brings energy, creativity, and innovation into the classroom
- Works effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Builds strong relationships with students and colleagues
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design & Technology, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- Recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification teaching experience (Australia, New Zealand, UK, or Ireland preferred)
- Experience with the Victorian (Australian) curriculum is advantageous but not essential
- International teaching experience welcomed
Salary & Benefits
- Tax-Free Salary: 12,000 - 17,000 AED per month (depending on experience)
