Air Freight Import Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Air Freight Import Specialist to manage end-to-end air import operations while ensuring seamless coordination across our global network and local stakeholders. This role plays a critical part in delivering operational excellence, maintaining compliance with international trade regulations, and providing high-quality service to our customers.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate inbound air freight shipments from origin to final delivery,
• Monitor shipment status, flight schedules, transit times, and arrival updates,
• Handle operational issues such as delays, damaged cargo, and missing documentation,
• Review and process Air Waybills (AWB) and related shipping documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.),
• Prepare and ensure accuracy of documentation required for customs clearance,
• Coordinate closely with customs brokers and ensure compliance with import regulations, duties, and taxes,
• Arrange bonded warehouse or temporary storage solutions when required,
• Provide timely updates to customers regarding shipment status, arrival times, and delivery schedules,
• Inform customers about charges, customs procedures, and resolve any operational issues or urgent requests,
• Verify airline, handling, storage, and local charges; support billing and invoicing processes,
• Maintain effective communication with airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers, warehouses, trucking companies, and internal teams,

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field,
• Minimum 3 years of experience in air import operations,
• Good command of English, both written and spoken,
• Strong knowledge of air freight operations and import processes,
• Familiarity with customs regulations and compliance requirements,
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills,
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment,
• Good communication and coordination skills,
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel,
