Description

Steward is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day stewarding operations within the kitchen. Reporting

to the Assistant Chief Steward, this role plays a vital part in ensuring the efficiency of the kitchen's resources, supplies, and equipment. The Steward must possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Operational Support

• Oversee the daily stewarding operations.
  

  
  

• Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless support for all culinary activities.
  

  
  

Equipment Maintenance and Facility Management

• Assist in overseeing the maintenance and repair of all kitchen equipment, appliances, and facilities.
  

  
  

• Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations, as well as industry’s best practices.
  

  
  

Team Support and Development

• Collaborate with the Steward Supervisor and kitchen team to foster a positive and supportive work environment.
  

  
  

• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
