Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Integration Engineer to support and enhance a centralized API and integration platform based on WSO2 technologies. The role is responsible for the operation, administration, and continuous improvement of the integration bus platform, enabling secure and reliable connectivity between internal systems and external entities.
The engineer will play a key role in API lifecycle management, platform operations, troubleshooting, security implementation, and integration support, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of the integration environment.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Platform Operations
- Operate and administer the WSO2 API Manager platform and associated integration components.
- Ensure platform availability, reliability, and performance.
- Monitor API gateway activity, system health, and service availability.
- Maintain operational stability of the integration environment.
API Management & Configuration
- Manage the API lifecycle including creation, deployment, versioning, and retirement.
- Configure API policies, throttling rules, and gateway settings.
- Maintain environment configurations and deployment parameters.
- Support API onboarding for internal and external services.
Integration Development & Support
- Support integration between internal systems and external partners.
- Troubleshoot integration issues across APIs, services, and backend systems.
- Ensure interoperability between enterprise applications.
- Assist development teams with integration architecture and implementation.
Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization
- Diagnose API failures, latency issues, and integration bottlenecks.
- Analyze logs and system metrics to identify root causes.
- Implement performance tuning and optimization measures.
Security Management
- Implement and maintain API security standards and policies.
- Configure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).
- Manage SSL/TLS certificates and encryption configurations.
- Apply security patches and ensure compliance with security policies.
Backup, Recovery & Platform Stability
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure resilience and protection of integration platform data.
- Maintain system reliability and availability.
Architecture Review & Improvement
- Participate in reviewing the integration architecture.
- Recommend improvements to enhance scalability, security, and performance.
- Implement approved architecture enhancements.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Provide knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams.
- Conduct workshops or training related to integration solutions.
Platform Health Checks
- Conduct periodic platform health checks.
- Assess integration infrastructure and provide improvement recommendations.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system integration and API platforms.
- Proven experience working with WSO2 API Manager or similar API management platforms.
