Operations and Maintenance Manager RAMS Expertise

Within Rail, our Systems & Infrastructure capability provides leading expertise across signaling, telecommunications, control systems, and integrated operations. The Operations and Maintenance Manager will lead operational readiness, maintainability, reliability, and RAMS assurance activities to support safe and efficient asset operation throughout the programme lifecycle.

• Lead RAMS activities across design, construction, testing, and operational readiness stages.
• Review reliability, maintainability, availability, and safety analyses for operational assets.
• Coordinate operational readiness and maintainability reviews with operators and maintainers.
• Support life cycle cost optimization and asset performance improvement initiatives.
• Review maintenance strategies, spare parts planning, and operational procedures.
• Ensure operational requirements are integrated into engineering and construction activities.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, trial running, and handover activities.
• Support development of operational documentation, training plans, and asset acceptance processes.

• Degree in Engineering, Rail Operations, or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in railway operations, maintenance, or RAMS management.
• Strong understanding of RAMS methodologies and systems assurance principles.
• Experience supporting commissioning and operational transition activities.
• Knowledge of asset management and maintenance planning processes.
• Familiarity with rail operational environments and maintenance facilities.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with international railway safety standards preferred.
