Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Saudi Arabia

The Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems used in industrial facilities. The role ensures accurate measurement, monitoring, and control of process variables while complying with project specifications, international standards, and Saudi regulatory requirements.

• Design, review, and implement instrumentation systems for process plants and industrial projects
  

  
  

• Prepare and review instrumentation drawings, specifications, datasheets, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and control philosophies
  

  
  

• Select, size, and specify field instruments such as transmitters, control valves, analyzers, gauges, and switches
  

  
  

• Supervise installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation systems
  

  
  

• Perform loop checking, functional testing, and system integration with PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems
  

  
  

• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues during commissioning and operations
  

  
  

• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, process, and automation teams for system integration
  

  
  

• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements, company standards, and international codes
  

  
  

• Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors during execution and handover
  

  
  

• Prepare commissioning reports, as-built documentation, and maintenance manuals
  

  
  

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline
  

  
  

• Minimum 3–8 years of relevant experience in instrumentation engineering (experience requirements may vary by project)
  

  
  

• Experience working on industrial projects such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plant, Water Treatment, or Manufacturing
  

  
  

• Gulf experience, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is highly preferred
  

  
  

• Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, control systems, and process automation
  

  
  

• Hands-on experience with PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems
  

  
  

• Proficiency in calibration, loop checking, testing, and commissioning activities
  

  
  

• Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, ISA, IEEE, API, and ISO
  

  
  

• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, logic diagrams, and wiring drawings
  

  
  

• Experience with smart instruments, control valves, analyzers, and safety systems
  

  
  

• Good understanding of industrial communication protocols (HART, Modbus, Profibus, etc.)
  

  
  

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
