Job Purpose

The Utility Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical utility systems within a confidential automotive manufacturing facility. This includes power distribution, lighting systems, and other electrical utilities.

The role involves troubleshooting electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, supporting equipment setup and commissioning, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. The technician plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, enhancing system reliability, and supporting efficient manufacturing operations.

Due to the critical nature of this position, the role requires flexibility for extended working hours, holiday shifts, and emergency responses. A 24/7 service mindset and adaptability to shift work schedules are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components in accordance with specifications and standards.
• Conduct routine inspections to detect potential electrical issues and implement corrective measures.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults effectively using various diagnostic tools with minimal disruption to operations.
• Assist in the setup and commissioning of new electrical equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment status.
• Comply with all safety protocols to promote a safe working environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing ideas and participating in relevant projects.
