Depot Maintenance Centre Equipment Engineer

Antal is partnering with a world-leading global PMC organization involved in large-scale railway and infrastructure projects across the globe.

We are currently seeking a Depot Maintenance Centre Equipment Engineer to lead and oversee activities within major transit projects.

Role: Depot Maintenance Centre Equipment Engineer

Location: Riyadh, KSA

Responsibilities:

• Review and validate depot layouts, maintenance equipment designs, workshop machinery, and technical submittals ensuring compliance with project requirements and contract specifications.
• Oversee installation, integration, and readiness of depot and maintenance center equipment in line with operational, safety, and RAMS requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces between depot systems and rolling stock, power supply, track, workshop systems, and testing facilities.
• Support Testing & Commissioning activities including FAT, SAT, subsystem testing, dynamic testing, and operational readiness assessments.
• Participate in inspections, NCR management, quality audits, and compliance reviews to ensure installation quality and proper commissioning.
• Ensure depot designs support operational requirements such as train movements, parking
• arrangements, and maintenance workflows.
• Validate maintenance systems including lifting equipment, wheel lathes, washing plants, ventilation, and safety systems for operational readiness.
• Analyze system performance, reliability, and integration risks, recommending mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with PMCM teams, contractors, system integrators, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare progress reports, system assessments, commissioning logs, and integration updates.

Requirements (Must Have)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline with 15+ years of experience.
• Extensive experience in depot design, workshop equipment engineering, or rail/metro maintenance facilities.
• Strong understanding of depot system integration including track layout, maintenance equipment, safety systems, and power interfaces.
• Proven ability to review design packages, shop drawings, O&M manuals, test procedures, and commissioning documents.
• Experience in testing and commissioning processes including FAT, SAT, dynamic testing, and operational readiness.
• Familiarity with RAMS principles and operational performance requirements.
