Specialist - Pediatric Anesthesiology

JOB SUMMARY

The Specialist - Pediatric Anesthesiology, within the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology, is a physician with clinical training and a specialist qualification in Anesthesiology.

Under supervision of the Attending Physicians, the Specialist - Pediatric Anesthesiology provides family-centered medical care services to medical and surgical patients, to include:

• Parenteral sedation for selected patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures

  
  

• General and regional anesthesia 

  
  

• Pre-procedural anesthesia assessment

  
  

• Team members of code blue and trauma teams

  
  

• Assessment and management of acute and chronic pain

  
  

• After hours in-hospital and on-call services 24/7 (in conjunction with Attending Physician)

  
  

The Specialist - Anesthesiology Pediatrics Anesthesia is a health care professional and patient advocate. Additional involvement in academic and quality improvement projects is encouraged and required.
