Primary Functions
Services Supervisor oversees a technical team of maintenance foremen and technicians to efficiently execute all service-related work orders directed by the Sr. Services Coordinator or production requests received from operations. Integral to this role is ensuring strict compliance with the SAP PM plan and addressing specific site requirements to support production and fabrication. Additionally, the Supervisor is responsible for accurate data entry and completion of work orders. Solid trade knowledge and technical skills are essential for promptly attending to, addressing, and resolving equipment failures.
Tasks and Responsibilities
1) Site Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of maintenance foremen and technicians to ensure the effective execution of service work orders and or production requests.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Responsible for the setup, supply, installation, maintenance of electrical extension cables, distribution boards, portable lighting, and other production support equipment
- Responsible for the setup, supply, installation, maintenance of all portable mechanical gas and water manifolds, extension hoses, regulators etc
- Responsible for facilitating the third-party lifting certification and calibration of the equipment in line with the company requirements.
- Responsible for the stock management, maintenance, and supply of diesel fuel in the yard for various equipment ranging from forklifts, cranes, transporters, generators, compressors etc. Ensure the monthly consumption report is accurate and submitted on time.
- Conduct TBT and work preparatory instructions to the workforce to ensure compliance to QFAB’s QHSES requirements.
- Facilitate PTW requirements, energy isolation, HIT card and relevant safety measures as applicable.
- Collaborate with Sr. Services Coordinator in case of assistance required for quality measurement and use of precision or special tools.
2) Service Work Orders execution/ Production request:
- Supervise the timely and efficient execution of all service work orders or job cards assigned by the Services Coordinator for the Planner group.
- Ensure that services tasks are completed according to established procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- All man hours and resource utilization for the work order must be recorded in SAP PM WO followed by review of the Sr. Services Coordinator/ Head of Maintenance.
- Provide spare parts and external service request to Sr. Services Coordinator for review and necessary action.
- Work order completion report to be submitted to Sr. Services Coordinator with all findings, actions and pending items if any.
- Adhere to department maintenance workflow process.
3) Compliance with yard layout/ project plan:
- Enforce strict adherence to the project plan for the timely delivery service requests.
- Monitor team performance to ensure compliance with work order requirements and deadlines.
4) Facility modification and support works:
- Utilize solid trade knowledge and technical skills to promptly attend to, address, and resolve facility modification works.
- Collaborate with maintenance team members and other stakeholders to ensure facility MOC is in place for the changes.
- Obtain technical guidance from Maintenance Engineer as and when required.
5) Data Entry and Completion:
- Oversee accurate data entry and completion for work orders in the SAP PM system, including updating work status and recording observations.
- Conduct regular verification of work order data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
6) Communication with work groups:
- Closely engage with Production supervisor for equipment malfunction, observations and cascade the information to the Services workforce.
- Coordinate with production supervisor to align equipment availability and utilization plan to ensure uninterrupted production.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Mechanical / Industrial / Electrical and or with relevant years of work experience
Experience & Skills:
- 3+ Years in the field of Facilities and Maintenance/ Services
- Industrial, Shipyard or fabrication yard experience preferred
