About the role
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible to oversees the initiation, planning, implementation, monitoring & Controlling and closure of specific project(s)bv/ assignments from start until delivery, in-line with QAS vision and mission ensuring the specified project scope and deliverables are successfully delivered in a successful, efficient and cost effective manner.
The key responsibilities are
▪ Design and deliver project management plans as directed, to develop practical application of works in a way that contributes to the success of the project and its Strategic Plan
▪ Managing all assigned project-related assignments including overall planning, tracking and documentation of one or several projects from the project proposal phase to the project closeout of all assigned QAS Projects within budget and timeline.
▪ Responsible to develop and implement analytical reports for tendering and commercial structure to create a feedback system for senior management.
▪ Support continuous improvement through cost modelling techniques and processes, identifying in order to accomplish cost optimisation opportunities for QAS.
▪ Evaluate current business practices, looking for ways to improve productivity, reduce costs, and make the best use of the business's resources.
▪ Plan and schedule project timelines providing regular updates to the QAS management.
▪ Define project tasks and resource requirements, liaising with the other departments' managers
▪ Work with executive leadership, Line Managers, HOD and other staff to develop appropriate design, evaluation and reporting tools for project work.
▪ Communicate issues to the Line Manager as soon as noticed them and update of project schedule, budget and Milestones at all times in order to achieve successfully delivery of assigned projects.
▪ Monitor, control and manage project budgets notifying the Line manager to any discrepancies and
providing regular reporting as directed. Anticipate issues that may cause budget to overrun and setup
budget control measures. Check regularly that every deadline is still possible, and report any delays as soon as possible.
▪ Work with and co-ordinate associates and other members of staff to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
▪ Monitor of business processes, business rules, metrics and standard operating procedures as a result of improvement initiatives. Monitor and Track the project's progress at every state, from start-up through every activity until the project sponsor accepts the final product. Track project deliverables using appropriate systems and tools and report as required
▪ Make sure the assigned project documents are developed, maintained, updated and completes all project documents in the project library ensuring the accuracy of each document.
▪ Identify and manage the Risks until resolution and make sure to register it to the Risk Register. Discuss the register at team meetings and Project Steering Committee meetings. Mention any new risks you identify to the manager and develop mitigation actions to tackle the risks until resolution.
▪ Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs as directed by the line manager.
▪ Plans and oversees the work of project personnel, developments and implementation of operating policies to ensure timely task completion, and prepares progress reports. Sets goals and deadlines by which
subordinates must complete duties and performs periodic staff evaluations.
▪ Communicate project evaluations and assessment of results as directed and report to the line Manager.
▪ Draft and oversee the production of communications tools for any event, including reports, presentations, video and social media output.
▪ Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department
