Role Description:

Qatar Engineering & Construction Company (Qcon) is seeking a full-time Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning Senior Engineerlocated in Doha, Qatar. The engineer will be responsible for the Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning phase of projects in the Oil & Gas and Pipeline(s). This is an on-site role.

AsPre-Commissioning and Commissioning Engineer -

Provide commissioning input at design and construction stage so that pre-commissioning activities can commence early, and the plant can be started up logically in a safe manner.

Provide completions leadership and expertise to contractors and staff onsite.

Develop and implement commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures.

Instruct new teams on the systems completion and handover process.

Responsible for Process line walk downs, raise punch list, check the system readiness for Pre-commissioning activities.

Supervise and manage the execution of pre-commissioning procedures on-site, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety protocols.

Coordinate and supervise pipeline flushing, pigging, hydrostatic testing, and other pre-commissioning activities.

Oversee the removal of debris, cleaning, and flushing of pipeline systems to ensure they are free of contaminants before commissioning.

Establish summary reports to reflect the systems and sub-systems completion status.

Interface with all relevant team to ensure that systems achieve completion.

Communicate and cooperate with project team members such as Instrumentation, Electrical, machinery, process, and controls, and other stakeholders to ensure effective sharing of information.

Ensure that Pre-Commissioning and commissioning issues are identified and resolved appropriately.

Assist projects in the identification of resource needs at key project phases.

Maintaining good site relations to ensure continuity and repeat orders on a negotiated basis.

Construct, develop and implement plans of action as required.

Prepare & Review of company development work methodology / procedures.

Attend FAT and SAT depending on project requirements.

Independently deals with vendors and clients.

Participates in meetings with the project team to review progress and addresses interface/implementation/execution issues where necessary based on the standard procedures, practices and lessons learnt from past projects to ensure that the project proceeds timely and smoothly.

Day to day Planning of work, manage schedule & targets of the project as required.

Prepare and maintain commissioning records of site observations, testing processes and checklists.

Maintain Punchlist records.
