Painting Inspector

Job Summary:

Responsible for inspecting surface preparation and coating/painting activities in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and international codes. The role includes material inspection, monitoring weather conditions for application suitability, verifying calibration of inspection tools, and preparing QA/QC documentation for client review.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily quality control inspections of painting/coating works.
• Monitor environmental conditions for surface prep and coating application.
• Ensure compliance with project inspection test plans and client standards.
• Inspect incoming paint/coating materials to verify conformity with specifications.
• Prepare and submit painting/coating inspection reports and related QA documents.
• Check calibration status of inspection tools and equipment.
• Assist in the qualification of painters, hydro blasters, and abrasive blasters.

Competencies Required:

• Solid understanding of surface preparation, color theory, and finish types.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Excellent physical stamina and hand-eye coordination.
• Good math skills for measurements and surface calculations.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
