Operations Manager

Position Overview

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of the company’s pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and R&D division. This includes oversight of Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and R&D teams.

The ideal candidate is a licensed pharmacist with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior operations role within pharmaceutical manufacturing, and a proven track record in managing product development, technology transfer, and GMP-compliant production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and oversee all manufacturing and R&D activities across the facility.
• Supervise formulation development, method development, scale-up, and technology transfer processes in coordination with the R&D team.
• Ensure full compliance with GMP, FDA, EMA, and local regulatory authorities.
• Oversee production planning, capacity management, and resource allocation to meet operational targets.
• Ensure readiness for regulatory audits, inspections, and customer visits, including implementation of CAPA where necessary.
• Manage and mentor department heads and cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, safety, and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, KPIs, and operational reporting systems.
• Foster a culture of quality, innovation, and operational excellence across all functions.
