HSE Marine Specialist

The Specialist – HSE Marine shall:
· Implement HSE strategy within the operational environment
· Manage assurance processes within the operational environment to drive sustained improvement
· Implement and direct change within the operational environment to achieve a positive safety culture
· Assess and assure site management maintain compliance against regulatory, contractual,HSSEQ and accepted industry practice requirements
· Provide expert technical guidance to line management functions.
Application of compliance and measurement tools at work site environments to monitor, record and verify that and other obligations, safe work methodologies and processes that are implemented by operational managers are effectual.
To follow up HSE aspects of new projects, 3rd party vesels.
To carry out HSE / Hygene inspections across own / charter fleet.
To varify HSE docuemntation for new contracts, chartered vessels.
Application of compliance and measurement tools at work site environments to monitor, record and verify that and other obligations, safe work methodologies and processes that are implemented by operational managers are effectual.
In event of HSEQ related incident, direct initial scene response, provide situation reports to line manager, collate requirements for analysis, conduct interviews of involved persons, track corrective and preventive actions to and facilitate lessons learned are communicated. Where requested participate in incident investigations.
Undertake verification of competency assurance for operational activities which have an element of HSEQ criticality
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education & Professional Qualification
Requisite:
· 2-year Full Time Graduate Diploma in Health or
· 3-year Full Time Degree (Associated Degree) recognized institution and NEBOSH Diploma Health and Safety; or
· 3-year Full Time Degree (Associated Degree) recognized institution and Chartered member · Offshore marine experience ( 1st or 2nd Preferred.
· Auditor qualification for ISM/ISPS accreditation from a recognized institution.
· Root Cause Analysis certification from organization.
· Training and Assessment qualification higher e.g. Training and Assessing (Australia), Assessment and Quality Assurance (UK), including Literature and Numeracy modules (or equivalent).

· First Aid certification

Professional Experience
Minimum 8 Years demonstratable experience profession of which 5 years as HSE professional and gas marine industry (preferable with exposure and AHTV operations).
At least 3 years demonstratable experience with accountability of HSE operational functions.
Working knowledge of SOLAS, STCW, MARPOL, / Class requirements.

Computer Skills Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Language Skills Must be fluent in English.
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge
