DRIVER (O&M)

Job Purpose:

• To support the organization by delivering and receiving documents, packages, etc. to and from the designated locations in a timely manner and ensuring proper maintenance of the vehicles.

Job Description:

Transportation

• Responsible for 24×7 operation of driving the vehicle, including picking up and dropping off O&M staff.
• Drive assigned vehicle in a safe manner, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
• Ensure that all safety and emergency items are available in the vehicle.
• Upon completion of the tasks, park the vehicle at the camp and hand over the keys to camp in-charge.
• Submit all service and fuel bills as per the instruction of supervisor.
• Wear the uniform and PPE at all times on duty.
• Carry out assigned jobs by line managers (Plant Supervisor, Sr. Plant Engineer) as and when required.

Vehicle Maintenance

• Schedule and keep track of the vehicle(s) general maintenance schedules.
• Carry out regular inspections of the assigned vehicle to ensure its road worthiness and safe operating condition.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle(s) as required.
• Refill fuel for the assigned vehicle(s) as needed.
• Keep vehicle(s) clean and check oil and tire pressure periodically.
• Report all accidents and traffic infringements to the supervisor in order to ensure appropriate action is taken and legal obligations are complied with.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Valid Qatar driving license

Minimum Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience as driver in Qatar (with a safe driving record)
