Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary:

Emerson Automation Solutions is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Senior Engineer – Cybersecurity.
They will be part of the Cybersecurity implementation and Site maintenance team and will be responsible to lead and participate as part of a project sub-team focused on Cybersecurity Site aspects.

They are part of the team responsible to create a positive experience for our customers and delight them with solutions that exceed their expectations and help them to make the systems secure
 

 In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Consulting and assisting customers in development/maintenance and improving of cybersecurity plans and/or programs on customer sites.

  
  

• The major responsibilities include the implementing and maintaining the relevant Cybersecurity technical solution on projects and customer sites. The solutions start with preparation of procedures and policies in line with customer specification, industry standards and best practices and Emerson recommendations. For existing sites, the responsibility includes conducting cybersecurity assessments and prepare a solution based on gap analysis. Providing ISA and Local Standards compliance support services

  
  

• Performing vulnerability assessments on customer's control systems, developing assessment reports and suggesting mitigation/remediation strategies during project lifecycle with specific focus on installed systems.

  
  

• They will be then responsible to review these with the customers and implement these on the shop floor for factory acceptance tests and also deliver these on customer systems at sites around Middle East and Africa.

  
  

• Implementing recommended mitigation/remediation strategies & Installation, configuration, tuning and maintaining of Emerson Cybersecurity solutions.

  
  

• They will be responsible to select required components, configure those and ensure that the offered solutions meet the specifications and achieve customer acceptance.

  
  

• This person is , in particular, expected to work on Security Information and Event Monitoring solutions based on McAfee/Trellix platform, and the full suite of Cybersecurity solutions that Emerson deploys to customer facilities. 

  
  

• Foster a positive environment in a Cyber Team for work and professional growth.

  
  

• Support Emerson MEA with Sales activities as required.

  
  

• Perform base customer support activities, including phone support, field service and remote diagnostics, as well as interface with Emerson Field Support Engineers, regional offices and expert resources as needed to resolve issues.

  
  

• Participate in customer workshops regarding Cybersecurity evaluations.

  
  

• Continually and proactively increase one’s technical capabilities, growing and establishing higher levels of expertise.

  
  

• Help to enhance the value of the Cybersecurity Center of Excellence by contributing towards additional group activities/tasks, developing new internal/external solutions, and assisting with training (as appropriate).

  
  
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

Who You Are:

• A individual who is fluent in both technical writing and verbal communications.
• That can manage customer expectations, and deliver the project within budget and time line
• Deep technical Cybersecurity knowledge
• A individual who likes solving technical problems for customer in the Energy sector. 

For This Role, You Will Need:

• The position requires a Bachelor Degree in Engineering- Computer Technology or equivalent.
• The position requires minimum of 5 years’ experience in implementing network segmentation, network monitoring, security event monitoring.
• This position requires detailed understanding of Emerson Distributed Control Systems requirements and applicable Cybersecurity solutions.
• Must have acquired at least one of industry certifications such as McAfee/Trellix Network Security Administration, ISA Cybersecurity Certifications, CISSP, CISA.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in a formal environment.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Knowledge of Cybersecurity appliances, applications, tools and techniques used in DeltaV / Ovation and in other applications.
• Conversant with DeltaV Networking, DeltaV Cybersecurity solutions, and antivirus solutions.
• Possess advanced troubleshooting skills (i.e. diagnosing and resolving computer related issues).
• The ability to work effectively with internal and external customers is essential.
• Working knowledge of ISA/IEC 62443 and DeltaV Cybersecurity manual
• Ease of mobilization to Qatar will be taken into consideration.
