Clinical Pharmacist

The ​Clinical Pharmacist​ is an integral part of the medical team.  The incumbent participates in medical rounds, assists the multi-disciplinary team to select the most cost-effective evidence-based treatment for the patients, performs pediatric dosing based on Pharmacokinetic parameters, manages Narrow Therapeutic Index drugs by using lab values to calculate and predict desired drug levels and participates in discharge planning and medication reconciliation. S/he participates in Drug Information activities or any assigned ambulatory clinics. S/he also participates in appropriate committees and provides valuable input as well as provide teaching of medication intricacies to Medical and Pharmacy Students and residents.
