IGATE Technologies is looking for a highly experienced and performance-driven Senior SEO Specialist to join our Digital Marketing Department.
The ideal candidate must possess strong hands-on expertise in ECommerce SEO, technical optimization, keyword strategy, content planning, and organic growth execution for international markets.
The candidate will be responsible for driving organic traffic, improving keyword rankings, increasing online visibility, and maximizing conversions across multiple ECommerce platforms and digital assets.
This role requires deep analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead SEO initiatives independently while collaborating closely with content, development, and paid marketing teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesSEO Strategy & Planning Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies for ECommerce websites targeting local and international markets.
Perform advanced keyword research, competitor analysis, and market trend evaluations.
Build scalable SEO roadmaps focused on organic traffic growth, lead generation, and revenue improvement.
Identify new content opportunities to improve search visibility and topical authority.
ECommerce SEO Management Optimize product pages, category pages, landing pages, and collections for maximum search performance.
Improve product discoverability through schema markup, structured data, and internal linking strategies.
Manage SEO for large-scale product inventories and dynamic ECommerce environments.
Handle duplicate content issues, faceted navigation, crawl budget optimization, and indexing improvements.
Work on SEO optimization for platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, and custom-built stores.
Technical SEO Conduct technical SEO audits and implement recommendations for improved website health.
Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile usability, and site architecture.
Manage XML sitemaps, robots.
txt, canonical tags, redirects, and crawl/indexation issues.
Collaborate with developers to ensure SEO best practices during website development and updates.
Identify and resolve broken links, crawl errors, and performance bottlenecks.
Content & On-Page Optimization Guide content teams in creating SEO-optimized blogs, product descriptions, category content, and landing pages.
Optimize metadata, headings, image alt tags, and URL structures.
Implement semantic SEO and content clustering strategies.
Ensure all content aligns with Google’s EEAT and search quality guidelines.
Off-Page SEO & Link Building Develop ethical and high-authority backlink acquisition strategies.
Monitor backlink profiles and manage toxic link removal/disavow processes.
Build partnerships for guest posting, outreach campaigns, and digital PR opportunities.
Reporting & Analytics Track, analyze, and report SEO KPIs including rankings, traffic, CTR, conversions, and ROI.
Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and GA4 for performance analysis.
Prepare monthly SEO reports and strategic recommendations for management.
Monitor algorithm updates and adapt SEO strategies accordingly.
Team Collaboration & Leadership Coordinate with developers, designers, content writers, and marketing teams for campaign execution.
Mentor junior SEO executives and provide technical guidance where needed.
Participate in digital marketing strategy discussions and performance reviews.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Media Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
SEO certifications or Digital Marketing certifications will be considered a plus.
Required Experience Minimum 4–6 years of proven SEO experience with strong exposure to ECommerce businesses .
Demonstrated experience managing SEO campaigns for international clients or global brands.
Strong portfolio of websites/projects showing measurable SEO growth and ranking improvements.
Experience working with high-volume ECommerce websites and competitive niches.
Required Skills Advanced understanding of Technical SEO and ECommerce SEO.
Strong command over SEO tools including Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Moz, and Google Search Console.
Expertise in on-page, off-page, and technical optimization.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics, and SEO implementation practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
Understanding of conversion optimization and user behavior analysis.
Preferred Skills Experience with international SEO and multilingual websites.
Familiarity with CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization).
Knowledge of AI-assisted SEO workflows and automation tools.
Understanding of paid marketing integration with organic strategies.
