JOB TITLE: Sales Director
We are looking for a high-impact, commercially driven Director of Sales to own and drive the sales function from our Lahore office. This is a senior leadership role for a proven sales professional who understands the global (onshore/offshore) Software Development Services business model, knows how to build and convert pipelines, and can operate as a true strategic partner to SSI's sales and business development teams.
You will help formulate and support SSI’s sales and BD strategy and its execution. In doing so, you will work in close alignment with SSI’s US based Sales leaders and partners, and at the same time own the Lahore based Sales and BD function and team. You will have real visibility into executive-level client conversations, how SSI shows up in the market, and access to a deep bench of presales and engineering talent to draw on as you scope and position solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Help execute SSI’s end-to-end sales strategy, pipeline development, and revenue growth activities for SSI's target markets, by owning certain functions and collaborating with team members on others.
- Prepare plans and execute structured sales activities across 3, 6, and 12-month horizons, aligned to the company's growth objectives.
- Define pipeline qualification standards to ensure focus on high-quality, conversion-ready opportunities.
Business Development and Sales Activities
- Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities in SSI’s target areas and markets, such as enterprise SaaS, data, and AI-driven technology services etc.
- Work closely with the SSI onshore sales team and partner network to support the sales process and activities for opportunities they bring to the table.
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with structure, discipline, and commercial judgment.
- Periodically participate in industry events, conferences, and networking forums to generate leads and build market visibility.
Pipeline and Deal Management
- Build and maintain a robust, well-qualified sales pipeline with clear visibility into stage progression and conversion readiness.
- Shape and qualify opportunities — defining scope and positioning deals for successful closure.
- Support onshore teams in refining proposals, positioning, and deal strategy to improve win rates.
- Maintain CRM hygiene and deliver regular pipeline reports to management covering deal status, forecast, and blockers.
- In summary, lead the full sales lifecycle - structuring the right process and team to manage all Sales and BD activities like prospecting, LeadGen, qualification, Sales/Presales calls, proposal and negotiation - through to deal closure.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Sales, Business Development, Presales, and Delivery teams to ensure alignment across the sales process.
- Serve as the coordination point between Lahore-based operations and US-facing client teams — ensuring speed, clarity, and accountability.
- Provide market and deal insights to internal teams to continuously improve targeting, messaging, and solution positioning.
Performance and Reporting
- Track and report performance against defined revenue milestones and pipeline targets.
- Present regular business reviews to leadership covering pipeline health, wins, challenges, market insights, and forward strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience & Background:
- 10–13+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development within the software development services industry in Pakistan or technology outsourcing space.
- Proven track record of closing net new business and driving revenue growth in international markets.
- Experience in leading and managing an offshore sales team.
- Experience working within or alongside global, distributed delivery teams — comfortable operating in an offshore-onshore model.
- Relevant exposure to fast-growing technology organizations where results and ownership matter more than process.
Sales Skills & Approach
- Commercially sharp with strong pipeline instincts — must understand the ICP/market, where to find opportunities it and how to develop them.
- Confident engaging at senior and executive levels — can hold conversations with CXOs, VPs, and technical decision-makers.
- Entrepreneurial and self-directed — set own targets and holds oneself accountable without needing to be managed.
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder.
- Skilled at structuring and negotiating enterprise contracts, SOWs, and MSAs.
- Strong analytical mindset — able to assess deal quality, market opportunity, and competitive dynamics with clarity.
Technical Understanding
- Reasonable grasp of modern software development, SDLC models, and emerging technologies including Cloud, Data, and AI platforms.
- Ability to engage credibly with both technical and business stakeholders — translating SSI's capabilities into client value.
