Oracle’s Fusion Applications group is designing and building the next-gen architecture for it’s suite of applications. Our team is building a platform that operates at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. 

We are looking for senior architects to work in an agile and fast paced environment building this cloud platform of the future. As a successful candidate, you will have strong experience architecting complex cloud native services. 

You will be responsible for all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to coding,  testing, CI/CD, and operational support. We build new product software, there is no legacy code to support. We own our own applications - we deploy and operate them, and we see them being used every day by our customers.

We are literally on the bleeding edge in terms of the technology stack. Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Go-lang,  Scala and Terraform all are key components of our stack. 

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 12+ years of software development experience.
• Experience in: Go-lang, Kubernetes

Preferred Qualification/Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent related field experience
• Expert knowledge in Go-lang and Kubernetes
• Technical expertise in the field of Docker driven workflows and operations with Kubernetes 
• Experience using Terraform and Helm 
• Experience with Kubernetes operators is a strong plus
• Expertise architecting large products or services
• Excellent verbal, and written communication skills

Platform Software Development:

• Set group-wide guardrails for platform interoperability, security controls, and client library governance.

• Utilizes innovative methods to conduct highly complex periodic reviews and ensures adherence to architectural standards.

  
  

• Collaborates with stakeholders across lines of business and externally, to align and build software architecture with business and/or customer goals and priorities.

Issue/Defect Collaboration - Software Products Support:

• Collaborates with stakeholders internally and externally to lead efforts to understand customer issues, root causes, and mitigation to align and explain rationale behind solutions.

  
  

• Must provide expert technical guidance and support to customers regarding customer-reported issues to mitigate recurrence.

  
  

• Acts as an advisor to advocate for customers' interests and suggests product enhancements and solutions based on feedback.
