The Team:

We areseekinga passionate and innovative Associate Director, ApplicationDevelopmentto join our dynamic and fast-paced team at S&P Global. This role will focus onleveragingcutting-edgeGIS technologies and a suite of modern development tools to enhance our mapping capabilities within the Capital IQ Pro application. The ideal candidate will be eager to challenge themselves and their peers, embracingnew technologiesand methodologies, including generative AI, to drive innovation and improve user experiences.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Application Development:

• Design, develop, andmaintainhigh-quality software solutions using technologies such as .NET, ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, SQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

  
  

• Implement andoptimizeGIS functionalities usingMapbox,LeafletJS, and other mapping technologies to enhance the Capital IQ Pro application.

  
  

• Explore and integrate generative AI technologies to create innovative mapping solutions, enabling users to visualize and analyze complex data in new ways.

  
  

• Collaborate with team members to create innovative features and functionalities that meet user needs and expectations.

  
  

Innovation and Technology Adoption:

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in GIS and application development, toidentifyopportunities for innovation.

  
  

• Experiment with tools and frameworks such asLangChain,LangGraph, LLM,CopilotKit, AG-UI, and MCP to drive improvements in application performance and user engagement.

  
  

• Lead initiatives to investigate the application of generative AI in mapping, developing prototypes and proof-of-concept projects toshowcaseits potential benefits.

  
  

Collaboration and Teamwork:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements,providetechnical insights, and ensure seamless integration of mapping solutions within the Capital IQ Pro ecosystem.

  
  

• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and team discussions to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  
  

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software by performing thorough testing anddebugging ofapplications.

  
  

• Contribute to the development of best practices, coding standards, and documentation to enhance team productivity and software maintainability.

  
  

User Engagement:

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the user experience of the Capital IQ Pro application.

  
  

• Gather feedback from users to iterate on features and make data-driven decisions for future enhancements.

  
  

WhatWe’reLookingFor:

Basic Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, ora relatedfield.

  
  

• Overall, 11-14 years of experience in software development, particularly in web applications.

  
  

• Proficiencyin .NET, ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, SQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

  
  

• Familiarity with generative AI concepts and their application in software development and mapping is highly desirable.
