What is Expert Channel Development


Expert Channel Development focuses on strengthening the performance, governance, and effectiveness of Jazz’s B2B sales channels. The role works across channels to identify performance gaps, improve pipeline discipline, and drive initiatives that enhance channel productivity.


The role combines business analysis, governance, and project management to ensure that sales channels operate with clear governance frameworks, accurate forecasting, and strong pipeline hygiene.


Beyond analysis, the role is responsible for managing cross-functional initiatives that address structural challenges within the channel ecosystem and enable better decision-making for sales leadership.


This role reports to Channel Development Manager.


What Does Expert Channel Development Do?


Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify structural gaps in channel performance and lead initiatives aimed at improving productivity, pipeline quality, and sales effectiveness.
  • Drive cross-functional projects focused on improving channel processes, governance frameworks, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the development and rollout of strategic initiatives that strengthen the overall B2B channel ecosystem.
  • Monitor pipeline hygiene across channels and identify risks affecting forecasting accuracy.
  • Analyse pipeline trends and provide early signals on gaps, risks, and revenue opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks that define how accounts, opportunities, and channel responsibilities are managed.
  • Ensure compliance with defined channel processes and governance policies.
  • Monitor and highlight deviations from governance standards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis on channel performance to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for the leadership.
  • Support decision-making by highlighting performance gaps, operational bottlenecks, and growth opportunities.

  • Channel governance frameworks and compliance monitoring mechanisms
  • Pipeline hygiene and forecasting accuracy
  • Performance insights highlighting channel productivity gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Cross-functional channel development initiatives from design to implementation
  • Executive-ready presentations summarizing channel performance trends and risks
  • Process improvement recommendations and implementation plans

Requirements


What Are We Looking for and What Does It Require to Be Expert Reporting & Analysis?


Experience and Educational Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 4–6 years of experience in business analysis, sales operations, channel planning, consulting, or related roles.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver business improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure business problems and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar).
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience in project or program management is highly desirable.

Soft Skills Required:


  • Strong problem-solving and structured thinking ability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across sales, planning, BI, and leadership teams.
