Role Purpose: This role is responsible for driving BetterTech's digital presence, podcast operations, and go-to-market marketing execution. The person in this role owns the end-to-end podcast workflow, runs all digital marketing activities, manages event partnership deliverables, and supports the affiliate and channel partner program by leveraging executive relationships built through podcast engagement.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Podcast Operations & Management: Own all operational and executional aspects of the BetterTech Podcast, including:
- Guest identification, outreach, onboarding, and scheduling
- Coordination with the podcast host on topics, talking points, and episode alignment
- Recording coordination, post-production follow-ups, and publishing
- Guest follow-up communications and relationship continuity after episodes
- Maintaining a content calendar and ensuring consistent episode cadence
2. Digital Marketing & Brand Presence: Own BetterTech's digital marketing function across all channels:
- Social media content creation, scheduling, and community management
- Campaign design and execution across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms
- Website management, updates, and performance monitoring
- Newsletter creation and distribution
- Tracking and reporting on content performance, reach, and engagement metrics
3. Event Partnership Marketing Execution: Support the Head of Media, Partnerships & Expert Network in delivering on event partnership commitments:
- Create and publish social media content promoting partner events
- Produce event-related videos, reels, or short-form content as agreed with event partners
- Draft and send newsletters featuring event partners and their key announcements
- Ensure marketing deliverables are completed on time and to a standard that reflects well on BetterTech
- Provide post-event performance reports to support partnership renewal conversations
4. Affiliate & Channel Partner Program Support: Leverage executive relationships developed through podcast outreach to support the affiliate and channel partner program:
- Identify podcast guests and contacts who are potential CTOs/CIO affiliates
- Flag and warm-hand relevant leads to the Head of Media for further conversion
- Support outreach messaging and follow-up sequences for affiliate recruitment
- Maintain organized records of executive contacts, their relevance, and engagement status
KPIs & Performance Metrics
Podcast:
- Number of guests identified, approached, and successfully onboarded per month
- Episode publishing consistency (cadence vs. target)
- Guest satisfaction and quality of post-episode follow-through
Digital Marketing:
- Social media follower growth and engagement rates
- Campaign reach and click-through rates
- Newsletter open rates and subscriber growth
- Website traffic and content performance trends
Event Partnerships:
On-time delivery of all marketing commitments per event partnership agreement
Quality and volume of content produced per event
Partner feedback and partnership renewal rate
Affiliate Program Support
- Number of executive contacts flagged as potential affiliates per quarter
- Conversion rate of flagged contacts to active affiliates (tracked with Head)
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in digital marketing, content creation, or social media management
- Strong written and visual communication skills — able to produce compelling content independently
- Comfortable engaging with senior executives professionally (for podcast outreach and follow-ups)
- Organized and self-directed — able to manage multiple workstreams without close supervision
- Familiarity with podcast tools, social media scheduling platforms, and basic design tools (e.g. Tubebuddy, Riverside, Metricool, Figma, Canva, etc.)
- Understanding of B2B tech audiences is a plus
Role Nature: This is an execution-focused role that sits at the intersection of content, marketing, and business development. Success is measured by the quality and consistency of output across podcast operations and digital marketing, the strength of event partnership delivery, and the contribution to pipeline through affiliate program support.
