Business Analyst - Global Transaction Banking (Mashreq Global Network)

Job Purpose
A business analyst job purpose is to analyze and document the market environment, processes, or systems of businesses.  
Business analyst facilitates the translation of business requirements into solution requirements  and follow through during product development and testing to assess and validate that the developed technology and digital solutions are meeting business, product and customers’ requirements.

Key Results Areas
•    Crafting user stories and sprints to support the product development.
•    Defining and documenting customer business functions, processes, and operating models.
•    Identifying, defining and documenting business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements and levels of systems access after consulting with functional unit management and personnel 
•    Ensuring the system design is perfectly aligned as per the needs of the users.
•    Acting as a domain expert in Payments and Clearing, translating business vision into product solutions.
•    Building and commercializing Virtual Account capabilities and solutions.
•    Reviewing SIT and UAT test cases to ensure coverage of functional and non‑functional scenarios.
•    Participating in UAT execution and conducting functional testing to support automation.
•    Acting as the Business Manager for the Cash Management Product Team.
•    Leading Risk Management & Governance for Cash Management.
•    Managing stakeholders across business, technology, operations, and risk.
•    Skilled in MS Office applications, Miro, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, DevOps or equivalent Confluence.
•    Familiarity with SWIFT Alliance Access/Lite2, payment investigation dashboards, and Nostro reconciliation & exception‑management tools..

Knowledge Skills and Experience
•    Minimum 8+ years of experience in banking and dominant experience in Cash Management in corporate banking and Financial institutions clearing
•    Deep expertise in Correspondent Banking and FI Clearing, including end‑to‑end processing of cross‑border payments, SWIFT MT/MX message standards, Nostro/Vostro account operations, and settlement/cover payment flows.
•    Strong ability to understand business objectives, strategic plans, and organizational priorities.
•    Strong technical acumen and a process‑driven approach.
•    Ability to work independently and build processes from the ground up.
•    Comfortable working in sprints and in hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery environments.
