Associate Manager Billing

Job Overview:

The Associate Manager Billing is responsible for overseeing and managing complex medical billing processes. Key responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of billing submissions, coordinating with insurance companies to resolve high-level billing issues, and managing a team of billing professionals. This role requires a deep understanding of billing regulations, payer requirements, and revenue cycle management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management and strategic direction of medical billing operations, including payments processing, Accounts Receivable, Denial Management and other billing domain functions.
• Develop and implement policies and strategies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of billing operations and financial reconciliation within all domains.
• Lead and mentor the team, fostering a culture of high performance, precision, and compliance with healthcare financial and regulatory standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to healthcare financial regulations, payer guidelines, and compliance standards across all operational activities.
• Identify and address systemic operational challenges, spearheading solutions for enhanced efficiency and accuracy in medical billing processes.
• Manage risks across various domains, such as incorrect payments, denials, compliance issues, and authorization challenges, implementing effective risk management strategies.
• Evaluate and monitor team performance with an aim to improve the quality and efficiency of billing operations and customer service.
• Conduct and supervise comprehensive training and development programs to elevate domain knowledge and expertise in medical billing practices and healthcare financial management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Above
• 7 to 9 years of experience in US Medical Billing.
• Proven expertise in handling large-scale billing operations and optimizing billing processes for maximum efficiency and compliance.
• Good understanding of full life cycle revenue cycle management.
• Ability to effectively lead and manage multi-disciplined projects. Up-to-date knowledge of reimbursement regulations and compliance issues of third-party payers (Insurance companies).
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• Strong professional demeanor with the inherent quality to rapidly establish credibility and rapport with clinicians, managers, customers and external groups.
• Ability to identify opportunities and solutions for process improvement along with the skills of planning and implementation of these solutions.
• Ability to drive product innovation and improvements.
