About Company:

Our client operates fourteen manufacturing facilities producing power plant equipment and sugar-related products. Its Power Transmission Business, established in Mysore in 1976, specializes in high-speed high-power gearboxes having an installation base of 12000+ gearboxes, spanning over 80+ countries and catering to diverse applications & industry segments.

An Ideal Candidate:

Sr. Engineer SCM will be responsible to manage procurement and supply chain activities for Engineering Goods and projects by sourcing mechanical components, developing vendors, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring timely availability of quality materials at optimized cost. 

Key Competencies:

• Procure mechanical components such as forgings, castings, pumps, bearings, motors, control panels, and machined components as per specifications and drawings.

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors/suppliers.

• Prepare and issue RFQs (Request for Quotation) to suppliers.

• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms with vendors.

• Generate Purchase Orders and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.

• Coordinate with internal customers i.e engineering, projects, Quality production for project execution.

• Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery of materials.

• Ensure quality standards and compliance with required specifications.

• Identify and mitigate risks related to delivery timelines, quality issues, and supplier performance

• Track cost savings and support cost optimization initiatives.
