Sr Data Engineer | Rabat (Morocco)

The Senior Data Engineer at AXA Global Business Services Morocco will be in charge of designing, building, and making ready for use, data systems that can grow and work well. He/she will make sure data is brought in, changed, checked for quality, kept safe, and is easy to get, while keeping the data processing systems working well and reliably for the whole company.

Mission

• Plan, build, and make better all parts of data solutions on Azure, including data that comes in at different times and data that comes in continuously.
• Create, arrange, and improve data setups to help with business needs.
• Make sure data is good quality, safe, and follows rules by checking, writing down information, and managing it well.
• Work with IT teams, Data Scientists, and people from the business to give new data solutions.
• Keep and make better the performance of data systems like Spark, Delta Lake, and Kafka.
• Handle projects alone, decide what's most important, and finish work on time in a fast-moving team.

Technical Environment

• Cloud: Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Functions, KeyVault)
• Big Data Technologies: Spark (skill needed), Delta Lake, RDD, Kafka
• Programming Languages: Python, Shell scripting, Git
• DevOps & Quality Tools: Azure Pipelines, SonarQube, Checkmarx
• Data Processing & Streaming: Databricks SQL, workflows, streaming parts
• Methods: Agile, best ways to keep things safe, ideas for eco-friendly design

• At least 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering, with strong skills in Power BI and knowledge of Azure cloud setup.
• Experience in building big data systems and data pipelines.
• Good programming skills, especially in Python and Shell scripting.
• Having a Power BI certificate is a bonus.
• Good at talking in French and English, and able to work alone and with others.
• Careful, pays attention to details, thinks things through, and focuses on getting results.
• Can adapt to fast-moving work methods and always trying to get better.
