We are looking for a dynamic, competent, and highly professional Pharmacy Assistant at the Central Pharmacy (M/F) to join the Pharmacy Department at UIR Hospital. He/She will participate in the smooth running of the pharmacy by ensuring, within their area of competence, the management, supply, reception, storage, custody, preparation, distribution, and dispensing of pharmaceutical products and medical devices. He/She will contribute to the continuity of pharmaceutical activity, the safety of the medication circuit, and compliance with the establishment's quality, hygiene, and safety procedures.
Your main tasks will focus on the following areas:
- Participate in the supply of pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and consumables necessary for the operation of care units and the various sectors of the PUI (Pharmacy for Internal Use).
- Contribute to monitoring orders, following up when necessary, and ensuring the continuous availability of products.
- Ensure the reception of pharmaceutical products and medical devices, check their quantitative and qualitative conformity, verify expiration dates, references, batch numbers when required, and then ensure their registration and storage according to current conservation rules.
- Participate in stock management within the central pharmacy, ensuring data entry, monitoring, control, stock level optimization, product rotation, and handling of expired or near-expired products. Contribute to preventing stockouts, overstocks, and inventory discrepancies.
- Participate in the delivery, distribution, and dispensing of medications and medical devices to care services in compliance with procedures, defined allocations, and safety rules for the pharmaceutical circuit.
- Contribute to the preparation and control of allocations for care units, in compliance with the rules for holding, storing, and securing sterile medications and medical devices. Participate in monitoring medication storage units in the services.
- Carry out, in authorized areas and according to their authorization level, pharmaceutical preparations or packaging operations in protected or controlled zones, in accordance with current procedures and under the pharmacist's responsibility.
- Participate in ongoing and annual pharmacy inventories, contribute to the analysis of discrepancies, and take part in actions to improve the reliability of stocks and records.
- Ensure the filing, traceability, and archiving of data, documents, tracking tools, and information related to their activity, in accordance with regulatory requirements and the documentary procedures of the Central Pharmacy.
- Apply the procedures, protocols, instructions, and operating rules specific to the pharmacy. Participate in their updating, implementation, and in the continuous improvement efforts for quality and risk management.
- Contribute to the reception, information, and guidance of interlocutors within their field, and participate in the training or pedagogical support of newcomers, interns, or students according to the service's organization.
Required profile :
- Hold a diploma as a Pharmacy Technician or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role with a good understanding of the central pharmacy environment, the medication circuit, and the management of health products.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy, pharmaceutical logistics, preparation, or distribution is a significant asset.
- Proficiency in reception, storage, supply, dispensing, allocation management, and inventory operations within an in-house pharmacy.
- Knowledge of medication storage and conservation rules, principles of medication circuit safety, traceability requirements, and quality and risk management procedures applicable to the Central Pharmacy.
- Demonstrate rigor, vigilance, organization, and professional discretion.
