HSCA HARNESS APPLICATION ENGINEER

Your Role:

• Conduct value analysis and value engineering activities to optimize product design, improve functionality, and reduce costs.

  
  

• Lead and contribute to the design and development of wiring harness systems for automotive applications.

  
  

• Utilize CAD tools such as CATIA, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks to create detailed wiring harness designs.

  
  

• Manage design changes throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to change control processes and procedures.

  
  

• Generate and release engineering drawings, schematics, and charts in accordance with internal standards and industry regulations.

  
  

• Participate in all phases of product development, including concept design, prototyping, testing, and validation.

  
  

• Utilize PLM software to manage product data, documentation, and revisions throughout the product lifecycle.

  
  

• Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering specifications.

  
  

• Coordinate changes to the BOM and communicate updates to relevant teams and suppliers.

  
  

Background :

• Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc or M.Sc degree) with Automotive experience, in ideal case with focus on terminal and/or connector development and/or cable assembly manufacturing.

  
  

• Fluent communication in English

  
  

• Experienced in technical customer meetings

  
  

• Hands on mentalogy and strong communication skills to coordinate technical requirements and topics between interdisciplinary departments (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Validation, Sales)

  
  

• Experience in CAD (Siemens NX), IATF 16949 requirements, procedures of D-FMEA, P-FMEA, Controll plan,  and creation of risk assessments
