Be the face of the British Council, delivering a professional and engaging customer experience while providing high-quality guidance across our English and Exams services. You will promote and cross-sell our products, support customers in making informed decisions, and contribute to achieving sales targets and KPIs. By demonstrating excellent service standards and collaboration, you will play a key role in supporting our Teaching Centre and Exams teams to meet their business objectives.
You will deliver excellent customer service by responding to enquiries across multiple channels (face-to-face, phone, email, and social media) in line with British Council standards. This includes welcoming customers, providing clear and helpful information, and generating interest in our services by guiding customers to book consultations, placement tests, exams, or attend events. You will maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, ensure timely follow-ups, and provide a seamless customer journey by either resolving enquiries directly or escalating them appropriately. You will also manage requests such as refunds and transfers in line with policy.
In addition, you will play a key role in driving sales by meeting or exceeding targets and KPIs. This includes conducting placement tests, providing consultations, registering exam candidates, and acting as a single point of contact for prospects from initial enquiry to final sale. You will actively cross-sell relevant products and services, follow up with existing customers to encourage re-registration, and make outbound calls to improve conversion rates. Alongside this, you will ensure full compliance with financial and audit requirements by accurately processing payments, maintaining records, and completing reconciliations.
You will continuously build strong product knowledge, pricing awareness, and system proficiency across CRM, booking, and registration platforms. You will also support marketing and sales activities, including events and promotions, help maintain a professional front-of-house environment, and contribute to customer insights through surveys and feedback. As part of the wider team, you will collaborate across functions and support broader operational activities to ensure the smooth running of services and achievement of business objectives.
